Winter Sun

Skirt: UO
Top and Blazer: H&M
Shoes: DSW

These shoes recently had beer spilled on them. RIP Aldo Shoes, 2011-2011. You served Noel well.

Slacks: American Apparel
Striped crew neck: Club Monaco
Oxford: Thrifted
Now defunct shoes: Aldo

That was a horribly cold day that began benignly, with bright sun and tepid breezes. Then it dropped suddenly and I was left shivering like a fool in my not-very-warm blazer. How much longer could winter possibly last?!? Noel says I complain too much about the weather, but I can't help but be hyper-sensitive to it, seeing as how temperatures below 60 degrees are still a novelty to me.

Am I the only one who quite likes Lady Gaga's new track, "Judas"? I'll be the first to admit that she is often annoying, pompous, and holds a ridiculous overinflated opinion of herself and the merit of her work--but damn it, some of her music is irresistibly catchy, in a very fresh, pop-y way. I've even taken to listening to Z100 in the car in the hopes of hearing "Judas." Obviously, it's not very popular...

Louis Vuitton

So I know these are a bit old, considering they're for fall/winter 2010/2011, but these Louis Vuitton ads are drool-worthy.

Those full skirts! That hair! The cap sleeves! The gloves! I wish I had immediate access to all '50s fashion.

I suppose I'm not as tech-savvy as I had once presumed... It took me about half an hour to figure out 1) what bloglovin is; 2) what purpose it served; 3) how to operate it; 4) how to link my own blog. But I've got it down now! So you all can follow me there, if you so desire:

A House on the Heights

Perhaps not surprisingly, Brooklyn Heights is one of my favorite NY neighborhoods, further romanticized in my mind by the arrival of spring, warm weather, and tree blossoms. Noel attends school in the area, so I have an excuse to constantly drop by, wander around, and admire.
These pictures are from a recent venture into the area. We met up with our friend Kelsey, got falafel, and cooed over nearly every dog we saw (a considerable number--BK Heights is an especially dog-friendly neighborhood).

While trespassing into someone's lawn (I use the term loosely) in order to admire their blossoms, Noel thought it a good idea to snap my picture.

Of course, we ended the day with cupcakes.

Dress and turtleneck: F21
Mary Janes: Payless
Tights: We Love Colors

This is a short post, but I have mac & cheese waiting for me in the kitchen, so I must make haste.
