Dasha Shishkin

Art by Moscow-born, Brooklyn-based Dasha Shishkin. I am not normally a fan of contemporary art but Shishkin's work is unusually good, and reminds me a bit of Henry Darger and some Of Montreal cover art (which I believe is done by Kevin Barnes's brother, though I'm not totally sure of that).

Her work is being displayed at the Zach Feuer Gallery in Chelsea until June 11th, for those interested.

  3. Ooo the colors are absolutely gorgeous!! Even though these are contemporary pieces, they remind me a lot of ancient art that you'd find in manuscripts or pottery. The last is stunning- I love that rich gold color..

Ma parli benissimo!! Non mi sembra affatto che l'abbia dimenticato.. anzi!! Sei troppo brava! :D xx
