That's Why I'm Blue, Navy Blue

I am not normally one for July 4th festivities, but when I learned of a vintage Americana-themed rooftop party, complete with a live jazz band and burlesque performers, I knew I had to go. Noel and I quickly assembled our outfits (we were already late) and headed uptown to the event (even stopping along the way to purchase a pack of Winston because, after all, Winston tastes good, like a cigarette should). When we arrived, we learned that the $25 cover fee had been waived--and replaced by mandatory bottle service, with a bottle of champagne starting at $200... -___-

Needless to say, we kindly passed on the offer. Instead, we hung out around Lincoln Center eating ice cream, and then walked to the west side for the fireworks. Here are a few outfit shots (with flash, I'm sorry to say):

Dress: wholesale-dress.net (which offers fantastically cheap and stylish dresses, though I would advise you to exercise caution when shopping there, because their sizes are often off and the material is often flimsy. Not to mention they must be using SOME kind of child labor--how else could they price a dress for $3.95 and still make a profit?)
Heels: Aldo
Necklace: Forever 21
Tights: Macy's

God, flash is awful...

Hope everyone enjoyed their day off.
